Campaign contributions are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Only individuals who are residents of Ontario may contribute to a municipal election campaign in Ontario.
Contributions may not be made by:

Corporations
-
Trade unions
-
Federal political parties, constituency associations, or candidates
-
Provincial political parties, constituency associations, or candidates
-
Municipal candidates who are not running in the same municipality
Contributors are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to make a contribution and that their total contributions comply with Ontario election laws.
Contributions are not tax deductible.
By making a contribution, you certify that you are an eligible Ontario resident contributing using your own funds and in compliance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.

All campaign contributions are final and non-refundable. Contributions are accepted in good faith and in compliance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Contributions to this campaign do not provide, imply, or guarantee any influence, preferential treatment, access, consideration, business relationship, or future decision-making benefit of any kind. All Council matters and public decisions will continue to be evaluated independently, fairly, and in the best interests of the community.
Contributors are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to contribute under Ontario municipal election laws and that contribution limits are not exceeded.
In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, any campaign surplus remaining after the fulfillment of all campaign-related financial obligations shall be handled strictly in accordance with provincial legislation, including the remittance of eligible surplus funds to the Township as required by law.
